Description
300 AAC Blackout is still relatively new – and compared to a lot of cartridges that have been around a lot longer, relatively hard to find. But Russia is picking up the slack. Wolf’s 300 Blackout is ready to make your custom AR-15 sing like a very noisy songbird!
This cartridge is loaded with a 145 grain FMJ projectile. It’s as fit for automatic fire as it is semi-auto, and it’ll work great with a suppressor as well. The only thing to bear in mind with Wolf’s bullet is that it has a bimetal jacket, which is mostly made out of steel and therefore magnetic.
Wolf makes cost-effective ammunition, and they primarily do this by refraining from loading brass cases. This 300 Blackout ammo’s cases are pure steel, with a thin layer of polymer which smooths them out for more certain feeding and extraction. Wolf’s polymer coating is specially formulated to resist burning off inside the action – although steel cases do have a tendency to let more fouling enter the action. The Russian manufacturer’s Berdan primers are non-corrosive, however, so no worries there!
Please note: We have read reports that this ammo may fail to feed in conjunction with 5.56×45 magazines. Dedicated 300 Blackout magazines are recommended for this ammo.
